What’s in the box?

Hello schools!

We hope you have received your kits in the mail and are ready to bury your teabags soon!

Your kits have been prepared by myself (Chau) and Eugenia. We are both Senior Science Communicators at the University of Sydney. If you run into any problems along the way – chances are that we will be helping you out on the other side of an email or phone call.

Your kits should include:

  • Several handouts (teacher notes, student notes and some data recording sheets)
  • Spade
  • pH kit
  • Petri dish
  • 2 specimen jars with tea bags inside
  • 10 green and 10 red tea bags
  • Wash bottle
  • seedling labels
  • 2 aluminium trays

If there is anything missing from your kits, please let us know at your earliest convenience. We would love to help out wherever possible.

Take some photos!

If you would like to take photos of your burial and doing the activities we would love to see them! With permission from your students, we would love to upload these hptos to our website!

Register your school

Lastly, if you havent already registered your school on our website we urge you to do so! This will help manage your data recording and streamline the entire process!

Coming up next:

Next time we will hear a little bit from Ed Jones our digital soil mapper! If you have any questions for him send them in at soles.communicator@sydney.edu.au.
